The Mumma Movement is about education and empowerment.
We are strong women seeking to move well, look our own kind of best, eat to fuel our bodies and our babies in preparation of pregnancy, through gestation and whilst raising children.
We believe in peaceful parenting and making the world a better place through a cruelty free lifestyle.
Hi, I'm Ariel.
I started coaching when I was 18. By then, I'd already spent sixteen years dancing and I'd been competing in Sport Aerobics since I was eleven. Movement has been part of who I am for as long as I can remember.
I studied a Bachelor of Exercise Science, originally because I wanted to help people overcome obesity. But everything shifted with my first pregnancy.
Back then, there was almost no research on exercise during pregnancy. I was figuring it out as I went and in doing so, I healed my own relationship with food and movement. For the first time, I was training to nourish my body rather than shrink it.
My first birth didn't go to plan. An unplanned cesaerean led to postpartum depression, and movement…slow, intentional, considered… became one of the most important parts of how I found my way back to myself.
When I fell pregnant again, I went all in on pre and postnatal health. I prepared my body for birth, learned about optimal fetal positioning, and went on to have a home birth (HBAC) one of the most healing, powerful and profound experiences of my life. After my third birth, a fast AF homebirth, I healed my abdominal separation and rebuilt my pelvic floor, prioritising sustainable wellbeing over "bounce back" culture.
Now I've spent the years since teaching thousands of women to do the same.
With 19 years of coaching experience, a degree in Exercise Science, supporting women as a doula, and a midwifery degree in progress, I created The Mumma Movement - a space I wish had existed for me.
